It is WELL on its way now. I could even presume it might hit NG this very week. Here's the lowdown:
+Finished:
Synced 1 full song
Coded 4 different enemy types
Collision detection with ship
Lives, score counter, high scores are working
Almost no lag whatsoever
Pause Menu, Quality Toggle
5 working Powerups
-Yet to complete:
4-6 new enemies
Menus and menu gfx
4 more songs to sync
By the end of the day Im guessing two more enemy types will be done. Its coming along much better than I expected, its a lot of fun to play and beautifully designed, its like a large musical masterpiece.

looks cool! I think a little more graphical detail wouldn't hurt, but it looks like you've got a certain style in mind. Try to get on msn tonight, I've got a couple new songs to show you. :)
